Stage 1 - Your Idea …

You have a great idea for a new business and need to know what to do next. This section will briefly guide you through the types of decision you will need to consider and point you towards the relevant sections of the business startup guide for more information. Throughout the process of finalising your ideas, you should be writing down notes and calculations, ready to compile a formal business plan in section three. This step is an important one, as you need to consider all of the options available to you before proceeding. [more]

Stage 2 - Market Research …

Before taking the final plunge, or even starting your business plan, it is imperative to conduct some form of market research. By far the easiest method of starting this is to use high quality third party websites to assist with your research for example Business Link. Market research is basically the process of assessing how large the potential market for your particular product or service is, and how much of that market you can expect to attain. It is not sufficient however to simply say that the market for product 'x' is £5M per annum and that you will corner 20% of the market. You need facts and figures, you must consider the competition, and be realistic. [more]

Stage 3 - The Planning …

Having formalised your ideas in your own mind, the next step is to prepare a business plan. Our fill business startup guide available to purchase here contains detailed information on planning issues. You may feel a business plan is not necessary, but if your new venture requires any sort of finance either now or in the near future, a professional business plan is an absolute necessity to properly convey your new venture to your potential business partners. A business plan also helps give direction and focus to your business activities. You will find an example business plan for a fictitious company based around the template used by a major high street bank. You can download this and edit it for your own purposes and use the result to present your business ideas. [more]

Stage 4 - Fill out the online application forms …

Once you have prepared your plan and are ready to proceed, you can select one of our business start-up packages to help get all the foundations in place. You can review the contents of each package by pressing the 'Services' button above and select a package most suitable for your needs. It is then a simple process of filling out the online application form on our secure server and making payment via Credit Card. The whole process takes less than 10 minutes and as soon as your application is received we will begin the process of forming your company. This takes on average 3 working days and the final package will be delivered to your door by registered mail.[more]

Stage 5 - Start making money !! …

Once your package arrives there will be a few matters that require your attention, all of which are detailed on a simple checklist. With all the foundations in place, you are ready to start trading and building a profitable business. Remember that the planning stage should not be conducted just at the start but throughout the day-to-day running of the business. Keeping accurate financial records will help you manage cash flow and spot potential problems before they get out of hand. Finally - GOOD LUCK !! [more]
